Some of the hurdles cannot be written as no book can contain them (laughs).

# In a male-dominated world, did you experience sexism from other men in ministry or do your male counterparts in ministry listen and acknowledge your voice?

As a young Christian in my first church, yes because of the leadership structure but later the Lord moved my family and I to a church that had women in their leadership and the first woman I saw ministering then is my mentor and friend today. I therefore did not experience sexism for long. But to honestly answer this question effectively I will say that I am grateful to God for His grace on my life not to even notice men who are insecure. I always approach everyone as a blessing and that makes it easier. We are not into competition but to complement each other.

# What do you say in response to those who believe that women should not be seen on the pulpit, should not preach or teach, or should not be ordained as Pastors?

I tell all those who are in such position of being put down and those who put them down, that “it is not your ministry, but the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ and He is the One who chooses who He will use for His ministry”.

I also tell those with grace to preach, teach and lead not to be rebellious against the authority of the church. If you have the Grace it shall be evidently seen in your life and men will acknowledge the grace sooner or later or the Lord will lead you to where you will be equipped effectively for His purpose to be fulfilled through you.

Now ordination is another matter. Please do not push yourself to be ordained by carnal men. Forceful recognition of grace has forced many to be ordained before time. Remember that Jesus waited thirty years for a ministry of three and a half years on earth.

#You wear many hats not only in ministry but also in family life and career. How did you balance these various roles?

By learning to delegate responsibilities and hold men and women accountable in their responsibilities.

In the beginning it was particularly challenging and it cost me many painful experiences that time will not permit me to share some of those experiences, but it will help the readers to know that asking for help does not mean you are not responsible or that you are not a good leader. I thank God for those who were there for my children while growing up.
