Be Available For Your Children As A Parent
Growing up, one thing that stuck with me till adulthood, was the fact that my parents were available for me. They were quite present in our lives. Have you noticed that children who do not have the attention of their parents tend to misbehave so they can capture their parents’ attention? Such children are also likely to become bullies or join the wrong crowds in school.
A prevailing mom should ensure that she is both physically and emotionally available for their children. Being under the same roof with your children doesn’t make you available to them. You could be with them yet you are lost in the world of your mobile device! Here are a few things you can do to ensure that you are available for your children.
- Create time for them.
Some events are more important than others in your children’s lives. Find a way to create time to be present in events that really matter to them. Figure out ways to do the things they love together with them. It goes a long way.
- Pay attention to them when they need to speak with you.
