The Prevailing Parent

What kind of parent should you be to prevail in raising children that will showcase God’s glory in these times?

There are three core pillars to consider in becoming a proactive parent – who you are, what you model, and the structures you have in place in your homes.

Who you are

A prevailing parent is one that loves unconditionally, is available for the children, and provides the right leadership to her children. However, to be that parent, you need to pay attention to your relationship with God and care for yourself.

God is the one that has given you the mandate to raise your children, He also will help you to raise them right. You need a blueprint from God on the best way to raise your children, and you can receive this blueprint through His word and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Like Manoah, Samson’s father asked in Judges 13:12, you need to get the rules that will guide your children’s life and work from God. Dear prevailer, do your best to continually cultivate your relationship with God.
