It is recorded that Fanny Crosby wrote over 9,000 hymns in her lifetime, some of which are sung to date. Popular hymns such as Blessed Assurance, Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross, Pass Me Not Oh Gentle Saviour, To God Be The Glory, and many others were written by Fanny.

Her hymns spread like wide fire when they became frequently sang in D.L Moody, and Ira Sankey’s crusades. Fanny’s songs depict her commitment to her Christian faith, her love for Christ and the gospel, and her passion to see others saved.

She continued to write until her death on February 12, 1915, just a month before she would have turned 95. Her last hymn is the popular “Some Sweet Day By and By”
