It's My Story

Freedom From Domestic Violence

They say, “the truth will set you free”, how desperately do you want to be free? I am a firm believer in living life like an open book. I wear my heart on my sleeve, boldly & I will be the first person to speak, ‘my truth’, ‘my reality’; if required to do so, and if someone else is going to be set free by it.

On the 22nd February 2011, I woke up, it was a normal day or so I thought. I bathed my 10-month-old baby and waved my son and then husband goodbye, as they left our home. About 6 hours later, they returned to our home. What happened afterwards, changed the narrative of my life, changed my adult journey and made me who I am today.
