It’s My Story: I remember personally being by your side at the hospital in London, and I remember you just speaking to yourself and declaring God’s Word, repeating God’s Word over and over again. How did you find the strength to do this and what would you say helped you hold on and get through the tough days?
I give God all the glory for His supply of abundant grace. The man Job has been a model for me in times of adversity. The Bible tells that after he received the final blow, i.e. the news of the death of all his children, he prostrated before God in worship. And, he didn’t sin with his mouth. Pain brings out the worst in any person but Job restrained himself from sinning. I drew strength from Job’s story.
It’s My Story: Have you been able to forgive the taxi driver who ran over her?
By the grace of God, I have forgiven the driver.
It’s My Story: Would you say healing has taken place or it is still a process?
At this stage, I would say, healing has taken place. I must say, I think about her from time to time, not that frequently. I imagine what she would have been like if she was still alive.
Since her passing, I have lost my father, then my only brother, now my husband. The pain of losing a child, a father, a brother then a spouse varies in degrees.

Indeed what would we do without Jesus when life’s hard knocks strike? He is our refuge in the storm, our hiding place, our Rock!
